About Climate Villains

A Premier-League-style table for climate impact, built on open data.

Climate Villains turns the best open emissions data into a league table anyone can read in seconds. Rankings make it easy to follow. Source citations make it trustworthy.

Principles

OpenData + methodologyMonthlyRefresh cadenceFreeNo paywall, no ads0Subjective ratings
  • Measurable only. No opinions. Every number traces back to open data; see the methodology.
  • Objective, not activist. The numbers speak for themselves.
  • Open data, free to use. Built on Climate TRACE (CC BY 4.0). Data and methodology are public; refreshed monthly.

How to read it

  • Damage score (0–100): bigger and rising = higher.
  • Movement (▲▼): change since the previous monthly refresh.
  • Confidence badge: how well the entity is measured. Shown, never scored.

About the name

The name is a hook. The data is the substance: measured emissions, openly sourced, presented without accusation. A rank on this site is a measurement, not a verdict; the caveats spell out exactly what the rankings do and do not claim.

Independence

Climate Villains is an independent project built on open data. It is not affiliated with any company, government, employer or listed organisation, and it accepts no advertising or payment for placement. It is free to use, with no paywall and no ads.

Nothing on this site is legal, investment or regulatory advice. Rankings describe measured emissions; appearing on this site is not a finding of wrongdoing.
